The Community First Affiliate Collective (CFAC)

The Community First Affiliate Collective is a movement to organize gym owners to take collective action to protect the community we love.

Why does the community need protecting?

In June of 2020, Private Equity (PE) investors purchased CrossFit the company including the “CrossFit” brand.  Since then, the Private Equity owners have attempted to use the loyalty of the community to the brand to maximize profits harming the brand, the affiliated gyms, coaches, and the community.  To learn the details of how PE is harming the brand, the affiliated gyms, coaches, and the community, click here. 

What is the solution?

 The founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman, called affiliate owners the "Caretaker of the Forest".  Affiliate owners and coaches are the people on the ground doing the work.  Affiliates also make up the majority of CrossFit's revenue.  If affiliates are organized and act collectively, we have ALL of the leverage and can use that leverage to protect the community we love.  The Community First Affiliate Collective (CFAC) is organizing prior and current CrossFit affiliates to take collective action to save the community we love.  

The CFAC will be trademarking a new brand for gyms to affiliate under.  The new brand will be owned by the gyms affiliated with the new brand.  The company will be run in support and service of the affiliates by a Board of Directors made up owners of affiliated gyms.
